| 1st Steep | 1 minute at 170F. Steep time based on previous experience with this tea. Mild cedar aroma. Very smooth with no astringency. Bright clean woodsy taste. | |
| 2nd Steep | 1 minute at 170F. Aroma now more like faint pine. Flavor is a little dryer yet still no astringency. Nut like overtones now present. | |
| 3rd Steep | 1.5 minutes at 170F. Aroma now broth like. Flavor is dry and no astringency. Nut like overtones present. | |

| Subsequent Steeps | 3 minutes @ 170F. Flavor getting weak. A little sweetness and nuttiness. | |
| Conclusion | This is an extremely tightly compressed tea. It was so interesting I decided to try it Gongfu style. | |
